As a student of business and HRM for over 10 years, I firmly believe, an organisations most important asset rests with its people. People far out weigh any other resource. If the people potential is tapped into, and used in the right way, it can be of immense benefit both for the organisation and its people.

This is a forum for HR professionals, students, researchers and lecturers to discuss all aspects of Human Resource Management (HRM). Feel free to post your views or critiques on theories, concepts, models, policies, processes, practices, activities of HRM. Maybe you are a HRM professional and found something that’s worked in your organisation? Maybe you've studied a particular concept/theory and you want to share your views on that? Maybe you have your own theory? - Feel free to discuss because through discussion we all learn something.

Greetings, this is a -=-chain-letter-=- with great potential. !!!REALLY!!! Read it all the way through, we could all come out on top if we do it right.

THIS IS NOT SPAM! it is a friendly, invitational =-=-=-=-Chain-Letter-=-=-=-=-=-=-=

if you are offended by receiving this invitation just delete it and be done with it. please e-mail me at oktoberphoenix@yahoo.com if you require further retribution.
**************************************************************************************

There is no limit to the prosperity you could enjoy from this one letter. If you follow the instructions, you will reach thousands of people and could have as much as $20,000 dollars or even more in your PayPal account within a few weeks (just bear with me, I promise this is not a scam, is completely legal and is in no way affiliated with any company).

***** Honesty, faith and integrity make this letter work. *****

Here are the step-by-step instructions :

Step 1.

you will need a PayPal account, Anyone with an e-mail address can join for FREE.If you're not already a PayPal user, the first thing you need to do is sign up for PayPal here

www.paypal.com

(this letter is in no way affiliated with pay-pal. pay-pal is simply a free/ on-line money ex-change sevice.)

Step 2.

send the top name on the list below (1st person) $5.00 through PayPal’s send money feature. DON'T FORGET to include "Please add me to your list." This is important as it keeps the program legal.

Send the other $5.00 dollars and an e-mail stating "Thank you. I've joined" to the 5th name on the list.

Step 3.

copy this whole page and paste it (in "note-pad", "word", etc.) to edit it.

Step 4.

Remove the top name from the list, bump the other 4 names up one place each and Place your e-mail adress in the bottom slot (Make sure it's the same e-mail address that you used to open your PayPal account, for this is the way you will receive payment)

Step 5.

Now that you have paid the 1st person and 5th person and sent them both an email, a note, and placed your e-mail address in the 5th place, then what you need to do is post your letter. You can post on craigslist.org, message boards and newsgroups (there are thousands), and you can even send in an email to your email list. IT IS YOUR JOB AS THE 5TH PERSON ON THE LIST TO ENSURE THERE ARE AT LEAST 20 "THANK YOU. I'VE JOINED" replies. The fifth person is the guardian of the system! If there are not at least 20 replies then the fifth person will keep sending/posting the letter until there is.

Thats it. Its that simple.

************* HERE IS THE LIST: ***************************

1. trustfundgirl@verizon.net
2. vsatexas@juno.com
3. myeverquest@msn.com
4. greyskull76@hotmail.com
5. chaotinomicon@yahoo.com

*************************************************************

If you do this the way it was designed, it will reach thousands by the time your name gets to the top.

MAKE SURE YOU SEND $5 DOLLARS TO THE FIRST PERSON TO THANK THEM FOR WHEN THEY WERE THE GUARDIAN OF THE LETTER AND $5 DOLLARS TO THE FIFTH PERSON SO MORE EMAILS CONTINUE TO GO OUT!

Now the fun happens. We reap what we sow. Other people will see your posting and do the exact same thing, bringing you lots and lots of dollars!!
Seriously, its common sense. You do it and 25 or more people see and do the same thing, so on and so forth, everyone wins!

You will receive thanks AND THE SAME BLESSING. When your name is on the 1st slot, 8,000 to 15,000 people will send you 5 dollars! Keep in mind the most you spent is $10 DOLLARS! (Remember this: what goes around comes around!)

Please give it an honest effort, you will not be disappointed and will be very glad you did when it starts to work. Remember, all you are going to be out of pocket is about the cost of a couple of coffees with the opportunity of banking thousands of dollars into your PayPal account!

Live long and Prosper

******************************************************
Greetings everyone! My fiance and I are getting married in Boston on the 20th of July and I am I looking for suggestions regarding where we should go to party and have fun in the Boston area. We are all about good beer and friendly atmospheres. Live music in the Irish or acoustic vein would be good.

We are actually arriving on the 14th and will leave on the 22nd, so we will have many evenings where we will be looking for places to hang out and meet some new people. We would love to find a group of people to bar hop with or just hang out with any of the evenings we are in town.

i'm interested if you have any boston professional
connections or any advice on my job hunting approach.
this search still seems a bit shotgun.

RE:
so i'm doing what i can. the first thing seems to be
to target an occupation or a company. i'm going for
the raytheon technical trainer angle. though have
applied to some other positions in marketing and
admin.

i've also got an interview for 'mad science' a science teaching
place that makes science fun and does birthday
parties. doesn't pay great, but at least would give me
some current teaching experience.

i also have some spokesmodel kind of demos, i find in
sf that was on of the most consistent fun jobs, but
again not paying too well. only $25 an hour tops, but
they were calling me to manage events.
www.geocities.com/sftechtrainer/demo.htm

i was working for FEMA, but that stuff is on the back burner as it's just oncall. i am trying to register with another company as well but they have no
scheduled trainings.

otherwise, i've been using linkedin.com to find some
contacts at raytheon, elsevere science an english
publishing company that i worked for in the past, the
boston business journal part of the chain i worked for
in san jose, an instructional designer, and some
recruiters.

i found out i *didn't* get the customer service
rep job at christopher's company that i flew out for the interview for.

anyway, so i guess the long and short of it is that if
you have any advice. (besides learning how to
capitalize.) i've taken tons of those career assesment
things, i am just looking for a darned job.

i can sit in front of a computer screen for hours. i have a few girlfriends
who can't go corporate after now having their own
businesses. i can suck up like nobody's business. ;)

i am going to register a domain name. the problem has
been that creativecommunications that i was using is
taken by a church group. ugh. so i'm going to go with
michellecadieux.com until i think of something more
clever. all the files need to be edited, there are
some broken links. wulff suggests taking the mba off
stuff and not overselling myself, i'm trying to look
like i do everything.

anyway, cheers! my mortgage will thank you!

What program are you in?
Why did you choose it?
What do you like about it?
Do you feel the time off from your career has been worth it?
What is the thing that has been most disappointing about your MBA?

Oh, and I am willing to listen to any other advice or comments anyone has to give. :)

Thanks!
